Sumner Memorial Park

The park, located at the gateway to the Schoodic National Scenic Byway, was gifted to the Town by the Sumner family. The park is a central focus for public events, including Memorial Day observances, Music in the Park, Sullivan Daze, Holiday Tree lighting, along with private weddings and graduation events. Be sure to view, Sullivan Tower by Jo Kley from Germany. It is a granite sculpture created by Kley at the Schoodic International Sculpture Symposium in 2014 and is one of a collection of tower-shaped sculptures, erected in more than 15 countries. “I chose the shape of a tower as a universal icon, that is understood by any society and race.
