Taunton Bay Adventure Camp 2026

Ages 6-11 Tues, Wed, Thurs 9 - Noon

An active camp for 6 to 11-year-olds, sponsored by Sullivan Parks & Rec and Friends of Taunton Bay.

An active camp for 6 to 11-year-olds, jam-packed with learning, fun, and hands-on activities on the coast of Maine. Exploration of sea animals and plants, how they live together and depend on each other, and how life changes in the ocean throughout the year.

Day One: Coastline Connections: Campers will conduct a scavenger hunt on the shoreline, and we will magnify and project items for all to see. You’ll learn about microplastics, how sea animals and plants interact with each other through food webs, and you’ll try out a squishy way to identify fish by what they eat!

Day Two: All about clams: Learn about clams and their life cycle from guest speaker, Mike Pinkham, director of the clam seeding operation now taking place at Gordon’s Wharf. We’ll dig for clams and have clams for a snack (if no shellfish allergies).

Day three: Cleaning up the coastline and Close-Up investigation of sea animals at the Center for Cooperative Aquaculture Research: explore how life changes in the ocean throughout the year, and ways that you can observe those changes. We’ll start this by observing the coastline at CCAR, then we’ll observe and feed the animals in the touch tank while learning all about biological cycles in the sea.

$75 for a 3-day session ( Scholarships Available). Free for Sullivan Residents.
